Weighing In Wednesday- Activities To Do That Are Not Exercise

Workouts- 3 45 minute workouts
Weight- +0 (-5.5 to date)
Measurements- -11.5 total to date

My exercise schedule is pretty much back on track, and I’m starting to feel a little better now after my 3rd visit to the doctor.  I have noticed that my energy level has been higher again.  I’ve been taking advantage of it and trying to increase my activities especially on the days that I don’t work out.

Here are some of the things I’ve been doing to increase my daily activities and some ideas of things to do…

  • Taking the kids to the zoo.
  • Hand washing the car instead of running it through the car wash.
  • Parking further from the store.
  • Cleaning the closets.  I didn’t realize exactly how much you will sweat doing this till I cleaned mine the other day!
  • Yard work. Pulling weeds = Squats!
  • Cleaning your light fixtures.  Climbing on a ladder or your step stool will simulate the stair stepper.

All in all I feel better and I have to say my house is much cleaner.  To me that is a win win situation.  What are some things you do to “exercise” without “exercising”?
