Christmas already? Some stores are starting their lay-away services early this season. It’s nice to see that Walmart won’t be charging shoppers to open an account this year and check out Toys R Us expanding their price match policy! The following information comes from CNBC.

The aim, according to the release, “Removing any doubt before holiday shopping begins in earnest that customers are receiving the best available prices.”
Also on Wednesday, Walmart announced it will drop the $5 fee it charged shoppers in previous years to open a layaway account. Shoppers can begin putting eligible items on layaway for the holidays on Sept. 13, with the retailer’s Facebook fans gaining access two days earlier.
With the holidays being about 120 days away, Christmas shopping isn’t really on our minds just yet. Planning ahead can save you alot of time, stress and money later so it may not be a bad idea to start making those lists while you have the time to check them twice!
