With Dr. Seuss’s 11th birthday coming up on Monday, my son and I, along with my nieces and nephews, got together and made some “Seuss inspired” party foods! These are pretty simple and don’t require a lot of work, but are fun and tasty too. Make Dr Seuss proud with party foods in his honor!

Dr Seuss Cat in the Hat Kabob Ingredients:
  • Kabob Sticks (skewers)
  • Cherry or Grape Tomatoes
  • White Cheese (we used mozzarella)
Directions:
  1. If you are using block style cheese, cut it into cubes.
  2. Then alternate the tomatoes and cheese until most of the skewer stick is covered.
  3. Voila! Kabobs inspired by Cat in the Hat!

Dr Seuss Green Eggs & Ham:

This is pretty self explanatory, but this is just one way to have Green Eggs and Ham. We simply made deviled eggs and used green food coloring on the filling. Then I took some deli ham and rolled it up next to it. Simple but very popular. Some other variations you can do are below.

Other Green Eggs and Ham Ideas

  • Scrambled eggs and ham
add a dab of green food coloring to the pan at the end. Remember that a little food coloring goes a long way! For natural color, try adding some chopped spinach to the eggs for the green color and some added veggies!
  • Deviled Eggs with Baked Ham
Make the deviled eggs with the green food coloring then take small slices of baked or thick cut ham and cut into triangles. Stick one end of the ham into the deviled egg filling.
