I set out to make something new this Fall and boy did I hit the jackpot! This delicious Fall Dip is just a few ingredients, so simple to make, and oh so delicious! I served it with apples and graham crackers. My favorite of the two was eating it on the graham crackers. It's almost addicting! Serve it at Thanksgiving and don't be surprised at how fast it disappears!! Dark green leafy vegetables are probably the most concentrated source of nutrition of any food.  I can't always eat what I need each day, so I drink them instead.  Nothing beats the nutritional value of making your own smoothies from fresh fruits and vegetables without all the added sugars and additives. Some people prefer juicing, I personally prefer using food in it's whole form so I don't lose any nutrients or the necessary fiber our bodies need. 22 oz of raw greens yields about 8 cups … [Read more...]

Pumpkin Cheesecake

This pumpkin cheesecke is so light and airy it's like biting into a cloud, it's not as dense and heavy like a normal cheesecake.  Because this recipe is so airy and has alot of moisture in it, it will crack, there is no way around it. Pumpkin Cheesecake 4 bricks cream cheese 6 eggs 1 15 oz can pure … [Read more...]

I've also made several mini centerpieces and placed them throughout the house for the gathering then sent them home with my guests. The only item I had to buy was the fresh pumpkin. My neighbors flower beds are in full bloom so I raided hers (I asked first). The greens are from my own … [Read more...]

Neighborhood Pumpkin Carve-Off

We now live in an area where we can get together often for barbeques, politics and fun.  Prior to living here we joked that we lived in a “drive though neighborhood”, you wave as you drive down the street but you really didn’t know your neighbor. So our 1st annual great pumpkin carve off seemed only perfect for our neighborhood. We know so much about each others lives and are fundamentally in tune with each other as if we were living in the 60's or 70’s, we were hand picked to be best friends … [Read more...]
