Weighing In Wednesday- Do You Plan Your Weekly Menu?

Do you plan your weekly menu or do you wing it when it’s time to start dinner? Personally I like to plan my menu for the week. I usually do them the night before I go grocery shopping.

This actually helps me a couple ways.  Not only does it help me stay on track with my eating but it also lays out my shopping trip.  It keeps me from buying extras that I don’t need in the house.

I know when I get home the last thing I want to do is have to figure out what is for dinner.  I don’t plan out by day but I do have enough meals on the menu for the entire week.  Usually the night before I decide what is going to be dinner the next night and pull out what I need.  This has been a huge help to keeping me on track.

Here are some of my menu staples…

  • Taco Salad
  • My new favorite- Garlic Shrimp Pasta
  • Boiled Shrimp
  • Chicken & Peach Kabobs
  • Grilled Chicken Breast
While I have my staples I have been trying to seek out healthier recipes online and trying a new one each week.  This helps me from getting stuck in a rut. So what are some of your menu staples?
