A Month of Birthday Freebies

Birthday Freebies

We always get asked about what kind of cool birthday freebies or discounts that may be available when you’re celebrating your yearly milestone. I never realized how much stuff I’ve signed up for. My email pings all day long with stuff here and there. But it never pinged so much as it did this past Saturday.

As soon as the first of the month hit, the freebies that are month-long flood email addresses. I have a pile of them ready to cash in. If you’ve been looking for some cool freebies or discounts for your birthday, here’s just a handful to get you started:

Birthday Freebies from Around the Net:

Red Robin – if you’re a Red Robin Royalty Club member (free card when you ask at the store and register with your email address), you’ll get a free burger or chicken sandwich of your choice during your birthday month (valued at $10)
Delias clothes – $20 off your $50 purchase, good all month long
Magazines.com – $10 gift card in my email
Betty Crocker – Free downloadable cake booklet, 20% off in the Betty Crocker Store
Melissa & Doug – 15% off my next purchase
Office Max – $10 off my $50 purchase online or in store
Starbucks – when you are a Starbucks rewards member, get a free beverage of your choice during the month of your birthday, preloaded on your card.
Sephora – Free Mini Lip Gloss when you sign up
Godiva – $10 off your purchase

These are just the ones that have come in my email in the last couple of days. I’m sure there are way more! Don’t forget about the local mailing lists you’re on as well. One of the places I used to get my hair cut sent me a $10 gift certificate towards a nail service at the salon.

Want Some Tips on Scoring Stuff Like these Birthday Freebies?

These are some of my favorites:

  • The more time you spend on the Internet and the more blogs you follow, the more free stuff you’re going to come across. Simple as that.
  • Sign up for a free email account to use only for freebies & coupons. When it starts to fill up with too much spam on a daily basis, simply close it down & create a new one. Make sure to transfer over any recurring monthly emails that you DO WANT.
  • Use a program like Roboform or Chrome auto-fill and train it to know your personal information. Automatically have it fill in your name, address, phone number, etc. and save a ton of time. Especially on those freebies you have to be super quick with!
  • If you’re an avid Facebook and/or Twitter follower, sign up for an account with a program like TweetDeck or Hootsuite. You can have it open on your desktop and a little pop-up with show you posts in real-time. This is especially useful now that Facebook controls what you see. Unlike your newsfeed, you’ll see every post with this.

These are just a couple of my favorite tips. Stay tuned for more freebies and periodic updates to my tips!
Until next time, find those freebies!
