Walgreens Coupon Policy – UPDATED 5/29/14

I will not sugar coat it, this change to the Walgreens Coupon Policy basically stinks! They have made it where it is not going to be as easy to coupon there. See the Official Updated Coupon Policy where it is on their website. Here are a few of the Highlights: The old policy stated when a coupon exceeded the price of an item, the coupon would be adjusted down to the price of the item. If the item was .99 and the coupon was for $1, they would adjust it down to .99, well not … [Read more...]

Will Target Accept A Register Reward?

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

Many of you may have heard the newest coupon rumor and might be wondering - will Target accept a Register Reward from Walgreens?  There has been some chatter that because the Register Rewards say "Manufacturer Coupon" at the top, they are being accepted at Target stores.  I'm here to give you the long and the short of it. The short answer is what it has always has been; NO. Target stores do not accept Register Rewards.  I heard that from two separate supervisors at Target and I'm waiting on a … [Read more...]

Walgreens Fillers

If you have not taken the free webinar on Drug Store Deals I would suggest you do so the next time it is available. If you can't do that, watch the pre-recorded one available on this website. What are "fillers" you ask? Walgreen's Register Rewards are classified as manufacturers coupons and since you can only have one manufacturers coupon per item, you might need filler items in order to use all the coupons and RRs that you want to. For example, if you are buying four items and using four … [Read more...]

The 411 on Walgreens Register Rewards

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

Couponing can be confusing by itself but then you add in store rewards and that can confuse us even more. Register Rewards can be very beneficial if obtained and used correctly. Spending $8.00 cash to get a $2.00 RR back is not a smart purchase unless it is an item you use and need now. If you stockpile correctly you should not find yourself in that position often. Walgreens coupon policy Walgreens Register Rewards What is a Register Reward (RR)? A RR is a manufacturer … [Read more...]

What to Do When Your Coupon Shopping Plan is a Bust

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

So what do you do when you get to the store and what you were going after isn’t there? Grab a flyer and scan for your life! This week has been a bad week for me. I never did make it to Walgreens earlier in the week as planned and because of that, I ended up with $25 in Register Rewards (RRs) that were going to expire yesterday if I didn’t use them. I grabbed my Shopping Spreadsheet with my Walgreens shopping plan on it and ran to Walgreens. What did I find of course? Just about everything on my … [Read more...]

My Plan to Save 96% at Walgreens

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

Last week I showed you one of my Walgreens trips and how I use my Shopping Spreadsheet in conjunction with it. I mentioned to you that I prefer to roll my Register Rewards (RRs) each time I go in rather than using those on purchases I don’t have coupons for or expensive items. This week I’m going to show you what I mean. The last week, after my 4 transactions during that week, I ended up with $59 in RRs. This week I’ve created my transactions to do in order to roll those RRs into new RRs. … [Read more...]

What a Difference a Year Makes! Couponing Could Face its Toughest Year in 2012

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

If you have taken Drug Store Deals and Superstacking, you know that I love to talk about the deal that I was able to score on Vicks last year. You remember that I rolled enough Register Rewards from that deal to basically buy all of the diapers we will ever need for Ethan and about 2 years worth of Proglide Razors for me. People ask me all the time "Do you think couponing is going to change?" I usually nod (figuratively) and tell them yes. At some point, coupon values will go down and base … [Read more...]

Take the Confusion out of Walgreens Coupon Shopping

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

I went to Walgreens yesterday for the 3rd time this week, to stock up on pain meds, toothpaste and hubby’s breakfast bars, but mainly I went on all these different trips because I needed my Register Reward (RR) fix! It’s not a huge shop, and the sale ended today, but I got $39 in RRs to roll for next week (when you multiply this trip by 3). I’ve been pretty slack in my drugstore shopping as of late and thought it was about time to get back in the game! If you didn’t read the first post, … [Read more...]

Costing Money By Not Paying Attention at the Register

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

Is It Costing Money? Yes you guessed right from the title that something I was doing, or should I say wasn't doing, was costing money at Walgreens. How did I do that? I didn't pay attention to the transactions and allowed myself to become distracted, which then led me to become disorganized at checkout. This was the plan when I got to Walgreens ~ Transaction #1 1 Colgate Optic White using $1.50 MQ and get a $2.00 RR back 1 Dr. Pepper 2 ltr using free MQ 2 Cover Girl blush using … [Read more...]

Rain Check Policies at the Drug Stores

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

What's the Deal with Rain Checks? Remember that if your store is out of the item you are looking for, you can always get a rain check! Rain checks are something that I didn't really know or think about when I first started couponing. Now I don't feel the pressure to make sure I get the items before the weekly sale is over. Often when the craze dies down and stock is replenished I can go back with my rain checks and get plenty of what I need. You might consider keeping the ad for that week … [Read more...]
