Crayon Heart Valentines

A simple and cute Valentine’s card idea is the heart shaped crayon. These simple Crayon Heart Valentines take some pre-planning because you need to gather the color crayons you want to use or you can simply keep all of your kids broken crayons to create your hearts in multi-colors. You will need a heart shaped mold and at least enough broken crayons that equal 2 packages or two packages of crayons if you are purchasing them new. These two packages of crayons will make 36 to 40 heart shaped crayons, depending on how thick you make them. This would also be a great activity to do for party favors for those special birthdays!

Crayon Heart Valentines Materials:

Crayon Heart Valentines Steps:
  1. Preheat oven to 275
  2. Peel the papers off the crayons and discard
  3. Cut the crayons into ¼ inch pieces
  4. Put 7-10 pieces of crayon in each mold well and place in oven for 7 to 10 minutes or until crayons are melted
  5. Carefully remove from the oven and avoid jostling
  6. Allow to cool until semi set then place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  7. When they are hardened, just pop out

Glue your finished crayon hearts to a plain red card stock sheet and add a special message like “you have my heart,” “my heart belongs to you,” or any other Valentine’s Day saying. The possibilities are endless and the craft is very easy and fun to do with children after the crayons have cooled off and are safe to handle. Make this Valentine’s Day special with these handmade Crayon Heart Valentines.

New to the Coupon-Wizards?

Are you new to The Coupon Wizards? I’m a one woman blog, but I work tirelessly, day in and day out, to find you the best deals. Both couponing deals and online bargains! This isn’t Extreme Couponing, it’s Effective Couponing! There is a method to my madness as well. Not only do I find sales & deals for you, but in doing so, I find sales & deals for me too. It’s a win win 😉 Plus I’m able to teach others to do this at the same time, which I love!

I started following The Coupon Wizards after doing some research on the subject, with a little prodding from a friend, and coming across them on Facebook. I was hooked immediately & started to learn quickly. Mostly out of necessity, but also because I loved everything about it. The organization, the researching, the putting together of deals, but most of all, the savings! I was saving my family money to pay those bills & be able to eat all at the same time. This blog was a life saver; literally! In no time at all, I was a blogger myself on the site. My husband has since found a job, but this is now mine and I love, love, love it and hope you will to. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Until next time, shop happy 😊
