CVS shopping trip 9-30-12I’ve been jonesing for a CVS shopping trip and after looking at the CVS Matchup for this week, I knew right where I had to go yesterday, even though it was Football Sunday. I was meaning to do the Revlon deal last week, but just never got around to it so I was happy to see it was still going on. That was a close one! Then I spotted the P&G deal and the Almay eye makeup remover one and started making out my Shopping Spreadsheet. I had $14 in ECBs to use going in, so that certainly cut down on my out of pocket (OOP) costs. I left with $22 in ECBs so that will help with the next trip.

I did this shop in 3 transactions, even though I show it as one in my totals. In case you haven’t noticed on the $xx/$xx off coupons at CVS, they’ve put new wording on there that says “Limit of one purchase-based coupon, i.e., $4 off $20 purchase per transaction.” So because I had a $4/$20 Skin Care coupon, I had to use both of the $4/$12 Cosmetic coupons I had in inseparate transactions. Just an FYI. Here’s my CVS shopping Trip from yesterday:

CVS Shopping Trip

4 Almay Eye Makeup Removers @ $21.96 ($5.49 ea)
Used four (4) $2/1 Almay Makeup Remover coupons
OOP = $9.96 + $8.00 in ECBs back ($2 ECB for ea.)

2 Robitussin C&CC, 4oz @ $9.98 ($4.99 ea)
Used two (2) $3/1 Robitussin product, any from 9/30 RP
OOP = $3.98 + $3 ECB back

4 Pantene Shampoos & 4 Pantene Stylers @ $32.00 ($4.00 ea)
Used four (4) Buy 1 Pantene Shampoo Get 1 Pantene Styler or Conditioner free coupons from 9/16 SS
OOP = $4.04 (coupons took off $6.99 ea) + $10 ECB

Transaction 2

2 Revlon products, one powder & one concealer BOGO 50% off @ $14.98 ($9.99+$4.99)
Used two (2) $5/1 Revlon foundation, powder, primer, blush or concealer coupons from 9/9 SS
Used one (1) $4/$12 Cosmetics Purchase CVS coupon
OOP = $0.98

Transaction 3 w/ 2nd $4/$12 Coupon

2 Revlon products, one powder & one concealer BOGO 50% off @ $14.98 ($9.99+$4.99)
Used two (2) $5/1 Revlon foundation, powder, primer, blush or concealer coupons from 9/9 SS
Used one (1) $4/$12 Cosmetics Purchase CVS coupon
OOP = $0.98

Overall Totals from CVS Shopping Trip

Before any coupons, sale prices or discounts was $123.02
After coupons, sale prices & discounts was $19.94 (before any tax)
I used $14 in ECBs I had from previous visits to make my OOP $5.94
Total Savings of $117.08 or 95.2% (Savings [$117.08] / Before discounts total [$123.02])
And I left with $22 in ECBs when you add in my $1 Bag Tag one I received 🙂

For the full details on all my transactions for my CVS shopping trip, make sure you check out the CVS Matchup. In fact even if you don’t want any of the items I got, there are a ton of great deals this week. I’m sure you’ll find something you need. Oh, and of course I included a copy of my Shopping Spreadsheet down below for those of you who are Excel freaks like me!

Until next time, Shop Happy ~ Michele

    Great shopping trip !!! Looks like you should be due for some beauty club rewards too !! It’s nice to see someone give their real totals rather the out of pocket after rewards that haven’t been used yet.
