How to Make Homemade Slime

Provide your children with loads of fun when they help you make homemade slime. This recipe is small enough for each child to make their own batch. Since I make my own homemade laundry detergent and just finished Back to School shopping for the kids, I had all of the ingredients at home.

You will need:

1. Empty 4 oz bottle of Liquid Glue into a bowl. Fill the empty glue bottle with warm water and shake. Then pour into the bowl of glue. Add 8-10 drops of food coloring and stir. In a separate bowl: mix 1 tablespoon of Borax with 1 cup warm water. Stir until powder completely dissolves.

2. Slowly pour Borax/water mixture into Glue bowl while stirring the whole time. It will begin to thicken quickly.

3. Remove the thick glob that forms, and knead it with you hands until it feels smooth and dry. Discard the water left inside bowl.

Tips:

Store Slime inside a Ziploc bag or airtight container. Lasts 2-4 weeks.
To make slime thicker, increase the amount of borax. To make slime oozier, decrease amount of borax.
Do not eat!
