How to Find Free Stuff & Coupons

free stuff & couponsHave you ever wondered how people find all this free stuff on the Internet? What about all the coupons people seem to be able to find with ease? If you’ve ever wondered how “they” do it, this article series is for you.

One very important tidbit to keep in mind before you begin – if you spend a lot of time on the Internet, you will be able to snag a lot of things. On the other hand, if you don’t spend a lot of time online, you won’t. It’s as simple as that. Fortunately, I work on the Internet all day long, which is how I’m able to snag all my goodies. I’ve learned a trick or two over the course of the last year & half since I started doing this and now I’m going to pass on what I’ve learned to you. So without further adieu, Tip #4 to help you do it too!

Tip #4 – “Like & Follow” as Many Companies as You Can

Unless you’re a hermit, you’re surrounded every day by advertisements; radio, TV, magazines, junk mail, word of mouth, etc., and unless you know some secret way to block it all out, you probably also know that just about every company out there these days advertises that they have a Facebook Page, and a Twitter account, that they want you to patronize too! I say let them rip! I’ve gotten some great free stuff by visiting company Facebook pages and Tweeting company wares to my friends and I suspect that as the trend continues to grow, I will be getting a lot more! Everything from samples to coupons to full-size products have I received. If you want in on a lot of this too, you have to go “Like” and “Follow” these companies!

To Find the Most Free Stuff, Create Both a Facebook and Twitter Account

The first thing I suggest you do is to create a Twitter account if you don’t already have one. I’m not saying you have to start Tweeting all your friends, I don’t, but if you want some of this free stuff that & hot coupons that companies are giving away, you have to bite the bullet and create an account. I’m sure most of you already have a Facebook account. I don’t know many people that don’t have one these days. My friend’s 98 year old Grandma has one! If you don’t have one yet though, create it! Again, you don’t have to go giving status updates to your contacts every day. If nothing else, just create one so you can “Like” company pages and start raking in free stuff, and to chat on The Coupon Wizards Facebook page, of course!

“Like” and “Follow” Your Favorite Companies

Once you have your Twitter and Facebook accounts set up, make a list of all the companies you support. Or a list of all the companies you buy from. Once you have your list, start searching for those companies on Facebook and “Like” them once they’re found. Then go find all the company Twitter accounts and “Follow” them once they’re found. As a side note, sometimes it’s difficult to find a company on Twitter, because the “handles” can sometimes be a bit obtuse, but if you find them on Facebook first, they’ll usually have a link to their Twitter page. Or if nothing else, they will have a link to their website and on their Home Page you’ll usually find a link to Twitter, if they have an account. Same with Facebook. They’ll have a link to their page on their website. Once you’ve done this for the companies you like, if you want to totally go nuts, just start looking up companies you’ve heard of and hook up with them. The important thing though is to patronize the companies you buy products from so you can start getting notifications when they have coupons available or when they’re giving away some free stuff.

This is why I say to create a separate Facebook and Twitter account just for coupons and freebies. If you read my prior post on the subject, you know that I have separate accounts. That’s so all this doesn’t get mixed in with what’s really important; my friends and family and what’s going on with them. It’s also why I use TweetDeck; that’s so I don’t have to keep coming back and looking at these couponing and freebie accounts to see what’s going on. I get my pop-ups so if there’s something I need to see right away while I’m working or talking with friends on my other account, I’ll see it. That’s about it on this tip. Bottom line, if you want a lot of stuff, you have to “Like” and “Follow” a lot of companies. It’s the wave of the future!
