Want to Increase Your Financial IQ?

increase your financial IQ

Looking to increase your financial IQ? Are you wanting to learn how to buy gamestop stock? Or use new methods to save more money? One of the biggest New Years Resolutions (probably right behind the diet/weightloss/eating right one) is to start the new year off on a better financial foot. Whether that is cutting spending, saving more, doing both – or just making the decision to START, you are headed in the right direction. Maybe some people would even like to invest some of their money to try and make more. This is a popular thing recently, a lot of people are looking into investments, like stocks. If you are thinking of buying some stocks, you might want to use a konto maklerskie demo (demo brokerage account) to have a go on the stock exchange to see if you like it. That prevents people from wasting all of their money before trying it out first.

We can all fall off the financial wagon during holiday shopping season. It happens, but it’s past. Put it behind you, log it as a stumble, learn from it, and move on. You can start off the new year right. There’s plenty of really easy ways to do it.

Increase Your Financial IQ with the Following:
  • Make sure your W-4 is filled out correctly. Not having an accurate W-4 can result in having much more money taken out of your paycheck than you should.
  • Make sure you have all of your forms in order when you receive your W-2 so you don’t miss a single deduction.
  • Take small steps at home to teach your children financial responsibility and independence.

My kids are little – 16 months and the older one is turning 5 next week – BUT – we still teach her to be responsible with money. If she gets a check for Christmas or her birthday she gets $10 out of it for her “spending.” The rest goes into her account. She can take that money and pick something out with it. She learned really quickly that once she picks something, the money is gone and there’s nothing else to use to buy “fun stuff.”

One thing I did last year, which I feel helped us a lot, was pick up a subscription to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. Not that I have time to ever read magazines, I make a point to read this. It’s filled with useful information, tools, and great ways to save a little at a time, no matter how much extra you don’t have each month. The tools on their website as well are endless.

Kiplinger’s also has great tips about helping your children save and how to teach them simple steps to financial responsibility. They have information on how to get the most out of your tax return, your paycheck, your mortgage, interest bearing accounts, and so much more.

Check them out – right now on Amazon you can pick up a one year subscription to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance for just *$11.88 (as of 7/12/19 @ 9:00 am). This ran last year around Christmas and it’s how I got my subscription. Don’t let it pass you by. The *$11.88 is a small price to pay to increase your financial IQ!

This isn’t Extreme Couponing, it’s Effective Couponing! There is a method to my madness as well. Not only do I find sales & deals for you, but in doing so, I find sales & deals for me too. It’s a win win 😉 Plus I’m able to teach others to do this at the same time, which I love!

I started following The Coupon Wizards after doing some research on the subject, with a little prodding from a friend, and coming across them on Facebook. I was hooked immediately & started to learn quickly. Mostly out of necessity, but also because I loved everything about it. The organization, the researching, the putting together of deals, but most of all, the savings! I was saving my family money to pay those bills & be able to eat all at the same time. This blog was a life saver; literally! In no time at all, I was a blogger myself on the site. My husband has since found a job, but this is now mine and I love, love, love it and hope you will to. Let me know what you think in the comments.
