Italian Chicken Pasta…It’s What’s For Dinner!

Italian Chicken Pasta

Italian chicken pasta combines two of my favorite things…pasta and chicken! Throw in a few other ingredients and you have an amazing meal that looks like it’s straight off the menu at your favorite Italian place at about half the cost!

Italian Chicken Pasta Ingredients
  • 2-3 Chicken Breasts
  • Pasta (any kind you like)
  • 2-3 Eggs
  • Italian Breadcrumbs
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 Can Progresso Basil Recipe Starters
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions:

1.  First you need to cut up your chicken breasts into strips. You will want to have a good sharp knife and cut your chicken into about 1 inch X 3 inch pieces.

2.  You will need 3 bowls for your eggwash, flour, and bread crumbs. For the eggwash, just combine your eggs and a small amount of milk and mix up well.

3.  First run your chicken strips through the eggwash and let soak for a minute or two. Next run through the mozzarella cheese, then through your breadcrumbs. Once they are coated, place them on a wire rack.

4.  Once you have all your chicken coated, and placed on wire rack, place in oven on 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. While your chicken is baking, start cooking your pasta.

5.  In a sauce pan, add your whole can of Basil recipe starter with about 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese. Let simmer and reduce a little.

6.  The last thing to do is build your Italian chicken pasta dinner! Add your pasta, put a few pieces of chicken on top, then add the amount of sauce you would like. Top if off with some mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top!
