Walgreens Jingle Cash

Guess what Walgreens shoppers? Jingle Cash (JC) is back this year, yeah! I actually earned quite a bit last year with this program, before I ever got into the major couponing throws that I’m in this year so I can only imagine how much I’m going to earn this holiday season, given that I will now be using lots & lots of coupons on my purchases! That’s right, Jingle Cash is computed BEFORE manufacturer coupons, NOT after. That doesn’t hold true for IVCs and AARP discounts and such, but manufacturer coupons? No problem!

Here’s how this program works. Shop at Walgreens, in-store only, between December 4th and 17th and earn Jingle Cash to spend in the store the following week. Purchase $30 or more in *qualifying items and earn Jingle Cash in the amount relative to your purchase (see chart below). For example, if you spend $50 the week of 12/11 – 12/17, you’ll receive $10 in Jingle Cash to spend 12/18 – 12/21. I’ve included their chart below.

Jingle Cash Earnings

Spend $30 – Earn $5 in JC
Spend $50 – Earn $10 in JC
Spend $75 – Earn $15 in JC
Spend $100 – Earn $20 in JC

Weeks Earned
JC earned 12/4 – 12/10 can be redeemed from 12/11 – 12/17
JC earned 12/11 – 12/17 can be redeemed from 12/18 – 12/21

To redeem your Jingle Cash the following week, which comes out as a coupon attached to your receipt, your order must be $30 or more (before manufacturer coupons) and must consist of *qualifying purchases, which is basically anything not on the list below:

*Qualifying Purchases
Any regular or sale-priced item with the exception of:

  • Gift, phone and pre-paid cards
  • Prescriptions
  • Dairy
  • Items prohibited by law
  • Tobacco
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Sales tax
  • Lottery tickets
  • Money orders/transfers
  • Transportation passes
  • Postage stamps
  • Prescription savings club memberships
  • Healthcare services
  • Charitable contributions

That’s about the gist of it. To get all the nitty-gritty disclaimers and for some more examples, head over to Walgreens HERE and check out the program in more detail. I’m sure we’ll be sharing scenarios as we find them and if you put together some great shopping trips, make sure you share them as well. We’ll be jingling all the way to the bank together 🙂

Comments

  1. If only they would educate their employees this well. Like putting the same scenarios to RR deals…I went to their website and it is explained very well as you also did. Should help make our shopping happier…I forwarded it to my daughter in law that works there. She has been there over 3 months and her only coupon training was by hit or miss. Of course i gave her a copy of the policy LOL!!!Thanks!!
