Monster Cookies

Soon we will welcome little ghosts, goblins, monsters, and more imaginative characters at our front doors saying, “trick or treat.” In the spirit of Halloween I whipped up these delicious Monster Cookies!

These cookies are monstrous indeed. These cookies need a larger cookie and include oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, AND  M&M’s. Cookie Monster himself would rate these 5 stars and my son, husband and I love these cookies! What better thing to get us in the spirit of Halloween then these yummy masterpieces?

Monster Cookies Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup PLUS 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups regular oats, uncooked
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&M’s
  • 1 6oz package semi-sweet morsels

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cream the butter with electric mixer
  3. Gradually add in both sugars; beat well on medium speed with an electric mixer.
  4. Add eggs, peanut butter, corn syrup, and vanilla; beat well
  5. Add oats, baking soda, and salt; stir well
  6. Stir in the remaining ingredients. (M&M’s, and semi-sweet morsels)
  7. Lightly grease cookie sheet (I just used the non-stick spray)
  8. Fill a 1/4  cup measuring cup with dough; pack it in like you would brown sugar
  9. Drop the dough 4 inches apart onto the cookie sheet
  10. Lightly press on each cookie with your finger tips to make each cookie into a 3 inch circle
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes (the center of the cookies will be a little soft)
  12. Cool slightly on the cookies sheets
  13. Remove to wire racks or lay onto wax paper
