Red Hot Cupcakes

Add a little heat to your Valentines Celebration with this next yummy treat! I love Red Hots, so this recipe is perfect for me and a perfect treat for Valentines Day!

Red Hot Cupcakes Ingredients:
  • 1 box White Cake Mix
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Eggs
  • 9 oz Red Hots Candy
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 cup softened Butter
  • 3 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • Red Food Coloring (optional)
  • Valentine Sprinkle Decorations

Red Hot Cupcakes Directions:
  1. Crush Red Hots in food processor until nearly powder
  2. Make cupcakes according to box directions except add half of crushed Red Hots to batter.
  3. After baking move to wire rack to cool completely.
  4. In a large bowl, cream the butter.
  5. Mix in the sugar and remaining crushed Red Hots.
  6. If color is not pink enough for you, add several drops of red food coloring.
  7. Beat in the milk mixing until fluffy.
  8. Transfer icing to the corner of large size zipper bag, try to minimize trapped air and close. Clip a small piece off the corner to pipe.
  9. Ice the top of each cupcake.
  10. You can top with Valentine sprinkles to add flair.
