Valentine’s Day Rice Crispy Treat Pops

If your children love rice crispy treats, they will love these Valentine rice crispy treat pops. Despite their unique look and fun appearance, they’re incredibly easy to make, adding just a few extra steps onto the traditional recipe for rice crispy treats.

Rice Crispy Treats Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 6 cups rice crispy cereal
  • pan spray as needed
  • 1 1/2 cups red heart sprinkles
  • skewers or Popsicle sticks as needed

Rice Crispy Treats Directions:
  1. Grease a 13 × 9 pan with pan spray.
  2. Melt the butter and marshmallows over low heat in a large pot, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove from the heat after the butter and marshmallows have melted. Stir in the vanilla and food coloring, then stir in the cereal.
  4. Spread the cereal mixture in the bottom of the greased pan. After you have spread out the rice crispy treats, evenly distribute the sprinkles and lightly press them into the top, then let cool.
  5. After the treats have cooled, use a greased, heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut shapes in the rice crispy treats.
  6. Insert the skewers or popsicle sticks into the bottom of each heart to create individual “pops,” and serve.
