Valentine’s Day Rice Crispy Treats

These festive, Valentine’s Day-themed rice crispy treats are a great treat to for themed parties, lunch boxes, snacks, or general enjoyment at home. When you cut the shapes from the pan, greasing your cookie cutter will help reduce sticking and make getting the shapes out of the pan easier.

Rice Crispy Treats Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 6 cups rice crispy cereal
  • pan spray as needed
  • icing as needed

Rice Crispy Treats Directions:
  1. Grease a 13 × 9 pan with pan spray.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter and marshmallows over low heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove from the heat after the butter and marshmallows have melted. Stir in the vanilla and food coloring, then stir in the cereal.
  4. Spread the cereal mixture in the bottom of the greased pan, then let cool.
  5. Using a greased, heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut shapes in the rice crispy treats.
  6. Decorate the treats as desired with the icing and serve.
