Robins Nest Easter Treat

Robins Nest Easter Treat

This looks so cute & festive! This unique Robins Nest recipe is fun for children to make with parents. Based off a recipe for rice crispy treats, the nest portion of this recipe is fun for kids to shape and fill with “eggs” and decorate with “birds.” Decorate the nests with Easter grass for a festive treat that looks as good as it tastes! After you make it, it will be hard to eat, but I’ll give it a go!

Robins Nest Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 5 cups marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 cups pretzel sticks, lightly broken
  • pan spray as needed
  • egg candies and bird marshmallows as needed
  • Easter grass as needed

Robins Nest Directions:
  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and vanilla, stirring constantly until the marshmallows have melted completely.
  2. Remove the marshmallow mixture from the heat and gently stir in the pretzel sticks.
  3. Lightly spray a sheet pan with pan spray.
  4. When cool enough to handle, use your hands to roll portions of the pretzel mixture into spheres. Lightly flatten the spheres, then hollow out the center to make the nest. Continue with the remaining pretzel mixture until all of it has been made into nests.
  5. Decorate the nests with egg candies, bird marshmallows, and Easter grass as desired.

This isn’t Extreme Couponing, it’s Effective Couponing! There is a method to my madness as well. Not only do I find sales & deals for you, but in doing so, I find sales & deals for me too. It’s a win win 😉 Plus I’m able to teach others to do this at the same time, which I love!

I started following The Coupon Wizards after doing some research on the subject, with a little prodding from a friend, and coming across them on Facebook. I was hooked immediately & started to learn quickly. Mostly out of necessity, but also because I loved everything about it. The organization, the researching, the putting together of deals, but most of all, the savings! I was saving my family money to pay those bills & be able to eat all at the same time. This blog was a life saver; literally! In no time at all, I was a blogger myself on the site. My husband has since found a job, but this is now mine and I love, love, love it and hope you will to.
