Ruths Chris New Orleans Style Barbecue Shrimp
This copy cat Ruths Chris BBQ shrimp recipe is scrumptious! It’s great as the main course, an appetizer, a party dish, on top of a salad or served with fish or steak. I happened to have some crusty bread on hand, which was perfect to sop up the extra BBQ butter sauce. You can’t go wrong with such a versatile recipe. You can easily adjust the spices to suit your own taste.

Ruths Chris BBQ Shrimp Ingredients:
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and de-veined
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh chopped garlic or pressed
  • 2 oz dry white wine
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Tabasco sauce, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary, finely chopped rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne, to taste
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
  1. In a small bowl mix butter, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, rosemary, cayenne and paprika, set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large non stick skillet on medium,  add shrimp and saute 1-2 minutes. Add onions and garlic, toss to mix.
  3. Add wine, cook 1-2 minutes. Add butter mixture and cook 1 more minute or until butter melts. Serves 4
