Dollar Tree Shopping w/ Coupons

Dollar Tree Deals

If you haven’t heard the news, you can now use coupons at Dollar Tree stores. While they have been accepting coupons for several weeks now, this was the first time I had time to go in and browse. I didn’t find too many items that had coupons available that I would personally use, I did find their Halloween decorations pretty awesome and plan to go back! It did take a little bit longer to checkout than I would have liked. Luckily, I was the only one in line to pay but I could see people getting upset if there was a line. A supervisor had to be called over since the cashier was not familiar with coupons. Each coupon needed to be manually keyed in since they cannot scan them. I could not imagine doing a major coupon shopping trip. What has been your experience using coupons at Dollar Tree?

New to the Coupon-Wizards?

Are you new to The Coupon Wizards? I’m a one woman blog, but I work tirelessly, day in and day out, to find you the best deals. Both couponing deals and online bargains! This isn’t Extreme Couponing, it’s Effective Couponing! There is a method to my madness as well. Not only do I find sales & deals for you, but in doing so, I find sales & deals for me too. It’s a win win 😉 Plus I’m able to teach others to do this at the same time, which I love!

I started following The Coupon Wizards after doing some research on the subject, with a little prodding from a friend, and coming across them on Facebook. I was hooked immediately & started to learn quickly. Mostly out of necessity, but also because I loved everything about it. The organization, the researching, the putting together of deals, but most of all, the savings! I was saving my family money to pay those bills & be able to eat all at the same time. This blog was a life saver; literally! In no time at all, I was a blogger myself on the site. My husband has since found a job, but this is now mine and I love, love, love it and hope you will to. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Until next time, shop happy 😊

  1. When I went, they told me I’m only allowed to used 1 of each coupon. I had a few doubles n triples but had to put it all back n only got about 4 things.

  2. I live in Ohio. I ventured out to the dollar tree here on Sunday. When I first went into the store I asked one of ladies working there what was there coupon policy since I heard so much negative stuff about them. She explained it to me. When I got to the checkout line. I only found Brut deorant and Effirdent. I got 2 brut and 4 effirdent. They manually keyed in my coupons. No problems here. I got all six items just for 39 cents.

Not worth the gas and time!

  4. have gone to numerous Dollar Trees and picked up Efferdent, Hefty, Oil Of Olay Soap, no problems at all. Actually am going again this morning to get some more of the Olay Soap.

  5. I like going to one Dollar Tree here in Beaverton, OR, the cashier is well-versed in their coupon policy, although the first time we were there it took us longer than usual during checkout but that was because it was the first day they were accepting coupons, she kept on apologizing for being slow but it was ok with us. I never had problems using coupons at that store, however, on other stores, it’s a bit of a nightmare. the cashiers don’t know what their coupon policy is. I’ve gotten Hefty bags, Efferdent, Airwick, Scotties, Alka zeltzer, maybelline, gain dryer sheets, and a bunch of other stuff. I’m lovin it! Will definitely be going back again and again.
