Day 26 Spring Cleaning

spring cleaning

It’s that time of year again-Spring! When the last of the fall leaves finally come off of my tree in the front yard, the flowers start to bloom, the birds are chirping, the days are longer, and hopefully it’s getting warmer. Well I guess here in Indiana I’m still waiting on the getting warmer part! Then comes the thought of Spring cleaning. A thought that I push way to the back of my mind, but it still creeps back to the front.

I definitely want to do a good Spring cleaning, but just wasn’t sure where to start and then Wham! There the answer was in my email box. Home Made Simple sent me the solution. A 30 day Spring cleaning plan. Home Made Simple is a company owned by Proctor and Gamble. Their website has recipes, organization, crafts, decorating, DIY projects and more!

Saturday April 20, 2013 Day Twenty-Six

Today’s Spring Cleaning Challenge is to set up, and clean off your outdoor grill. It’s time to get your grill ready for the tastes of summer. Today is the day to get it cleaned, and fill up the propane, or charcoal, and lighter fluid. I can smell the burgers already!!

Spring Cleaning Tips and Tricks

Home Made Simple has some great tips on preparing your grill for the season. I always start by cleaning the outside of our grill first. We have a gas grill and we love “cooking out” as we call it. Most of the Summer holidays are at our house, and I have my nieces and nephews over to swim often, so our grill gets a lot of use! It’s also a good idea to make sure you have extra propane or charcoal around too. Believe me, realizing you are out of something at the last minute is not good 30 minutes before you need to start cooking!

Day Twenty-Five Progress

Is your patio furniture cleaned off and ready for the season? Well, my day didn’t go as planned. Thirty degree temperatures, high wind, and sleet isn’t ideal weather for cleaning off my patio furniture! I had to dig out my gloves that I put away earlier in the challenge! Oh well, I will add it to another day. I need warm weather here in Indiana! Hopefully you all are having some warmer temperatures than I am here!
