Day Two of Spring Cleaning Challenge

spring cleaning

It’s that time of year again-Spring! When the last of the fall leaves finally come off of my tree in the front yard, the flowers start to bloom, the birds are chirping, the days are longer, and hopefully it’s getting warmer. Well I guess here in Indiana I’m still waiting on the getting warmer part! Then comes the thought of Spring cleaning. A thought that I push way to the back of my mind, but it still creeps back to the front.

I definitely want to do a good Spring cleaning, but just wasn’t sure where to start and then Wham! There the answer was in my email box. Home Made Simple sent me the solution. A 30 day Spring cleaning plan. Home Made Simple is a company owned by Proctor and Gamble. Their website has recipes, organization, crafts, decorating, DIY projects and more!.

Tuesday March 26, 2013-Day 2 Spring Cleaning Challenge

Time to dust those ceiling fans and change the batteries in your smoke detector.

If you don’t have ceiling fans then this would be a great time to input something on your list from day one. Something that you added that was not on the checklist. I personally have ceiling fans, so I will be grabbing my dusting gear and getting them cleaned. How do they get so dusty so fast anyway?

Home Made Simple also gives a great tip to change the batteries in your smoke detector. I usually change mine around this time too. Usually when our time changes here I try and remember to do that. So if you haven’t already done that go ahead and do that today too!

Tips and Tricks

Check out some great tips on cleaning those ceiling fans. My favorite tip is putting a bed sheet or a towel on the floor underneath the ceiling fan to catch all the dust bunnies!

Day One Progress of Spring Cleaning

So how did you do on your list making? I added cleaning out my van, cleaning out my kitchen cabinets, and changing the pictures in my collage frames. I always seem to keep the current ones in there too long, and I’m a photographer! You would think I would change them more often! So far so good, but I really haven’t done any cleaning yet. Haha!
