What I Price Matched at Walmart this Week

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

Walmart Price Matched Trip I will usually price matched at Walmart once a week, depending on the deals and how far they are. Locally, I only have Safeway, CVS and Walmart, so unless I will be in the area of another store, I will price match. What I price matched at Walmart: (2) packs of Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh meats - $3.59 each (1) Loaf of Wonder Bread - $2.19 Price Match Target's - get a FREE loaf of bread when you buy any two lunchmeat or cheese items listed. This dropped the … [Read more...]

Price Matching at Walmart Earlier this week, I showed you my Back to School shopping trip at Staples. The store I went to was out of the $1 Sharpie markers 5-pack, so I headed out to do some price matching at Walmart. I also wanted to pick up some more Crayola products and I had a $1 of $5 purchase coupon. Total before price match and coupons: $65.95, Total OOP: $13.99! Which is awesome since the ink itself is $15.97. Price Matching Trip Details: (11) Bayer Low Dose - $2.22 (1) Bayer … [Read more...]

Wizards Admin Challenge – Valerie

Valerie's Wizards Admin Challenge It was important to me not to go crazy and buy items for the sake of  The Coupon Wizards admin challenge, but to keep my purchases realistic. I could have gotten more of one item or another, but if I wouldn't normally buy 8 packages of napkins so why buy them today? This week's sale also didn't have much that I use, but it did give me an opportunity to try products new to me such as Belvita and the Jell-O cups. The Coupon Wizards challenge was really … [Read more...]

St Patricks Day Gold I am Irish, but I have the Luck of the Wizard with me as well! Here is a little bit of St Patricks Day Coupon Magic for you! My little Leprechauns were running low on yogurt and a few other things so off to Walmart I headed! In another land of non-saving folk, this haul would have cost $70.00. In the magical Wizard world, that does not happen! I pulled out this magical stack of coupons and miraculously turned it into an amazing $20.00 transaction! Now, that's what I … [Read more...]

Coupon Policy – Knowing it Helps! ~ A WizKid’s Story

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

How Having the Coupon Policy Helps Do you have the coupon policy of each store you shop at? I am so thrilled when I hear stories of how one overcomes issues with troubles in stores caused by using coupons. There are so many times when we know we are in the right, but because of uninformed cashiers, and management (shocking, I know), we don't win. Check out this great story by Wiz Kid Bridget and how she persevered when she knew she was right. Coupon Policy Confusion at Walmart I had a … [Read more...]

Surprise Savings from Wizard Melissa

My Surprise Savings UPDATE: Because I follow The Coupon Wizards, I found out later that I shouldn't have done this. Both were manufacturer coupons from Kingsford so I wasn't allowed to use all of those coupons. To use all of them and follow the coupon terms (every coupon says "not to be combined with other coupons"), I would have had to buy 8 bags, using 4 $5/1 and 4 of the meat. Oops! Ready for these surprise savings? Remember the killer Kingsford charcoal coupon for $5.00 off any sized … [Read more...]

Nabisco – Valerie’s Shopping Trip 1/11/12

Nabisco Testing Trip   I decided to run errands today to test the Nabisco $3/3 coupon from the 1/8 SmartSource inserts. When we have a potentially controversial coupon we like to research it for you and for ourselves. Sometimes that means taking it to the store and talking with the Mgr or calling the manufacturer directly. This is one of those coupons because the photo shows full size boxes but the verbiage says ANY. So off I go to test 4 stores. None of the managers or cashiers … [Read more...]

Christmas Clearance Trip Want to know how I stock-up on essentials like Ziploc bags, foil, and paper towels? Look no further, I have the answer here! I had a busy morning yesterday, starting at 4:30 am at Walmart! Sure, I am a little nuts for sitting in my car in the freezing cold so early in the a.m. outside of Walmart, but it was well worth it when you see the items I stocked up on at a fantastic Christmas clearance price! After double checking my Clearance Coupons post, I knew I was … [Read more...]

How Wizard Lauren organizes coupons

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Full Disclosure Policy for more information.

How I Organize Coupons We all organize our coupons a little differently and to tell the truth, my method has changed about four times already in the last 9 months. At first, I tried cutting out every coupon and using a binder. When that one got too full, I got two binders (one for food, and one for health/beauty items). After talking to other Wiz Kids, I decided to try a hybrid coupon organization method to save myself time. Breaking Down Coupon Inserts When I get my inserts I break them down … [Read more...]

Walmart – Valerie’s Shopping Trip/Attitude Adjustment

Walmart Trip from Hell So here it is Sunday AND payday so why did I decide to go shopping today at Walmart? My initial response would be who the heck knows. Normally I am a very patient woman but 15 min in Walmart and I was going to steamroll the next rude inconsiderate person that crossed my path. Children running around and screaming everywhere, people stopping in mid isle with their cart not caring about anyone around them, ignoring me when I said excuse me and a woman who runs into my … [Read more...]

Overage – Use It to Pay for INK & Diapers

With 3 young kids at different stages of potty training, I'm always looking for ways to get Pull-Ups for the lowest OOP (out of pocket) possible. Last night I also needed ink for my printer. First stop, Walmart for some overage. My store was out of the Schick disposable razors, but I was still able to get some overage with the $10/3 Gas-X coupons from a couple of months ago. Next stop: CVS where I used my $10 ECB from their baby deal earlier in the week when I bought Pull-Ups. Got 2 packs of … [Read more...]
