Turkey Tacos is What’s for Dinner

We love taco night in our house, but the packaged stuff isn’t so yummy. Enter my turkey tacos! We put a spin on tacos to make the healthier, but they still taste good! Here’s my awesome recipe:

Turkey Tacos Ingredients:
  • Whole grain tortillas
  • lettuce
  • tomatoes
  • homemade taco seasoning
  • reduced fat taco cheese
  • fat free sour cream

Directions:
  1. I used ground turkey instead of ground beef.
  2. Brown the turkey in a frying pan.
  3. When it’s cooked, drain the little grease out that may be in there.
  4. Add about 2/3 a cup of water and the homemade taco seasoning.
  5. Cook it on low heat for another 3-5 minutes until it thickens.

Tacos are a favorite of ours because we can each make it how we like it. My girls love cheese and lettuce on theirs (my younger one eats it with guacamole), I like sour cream, and my husband likes to add Tabasco sauce to his to make them spicier!
